Hi all !
Is it possible to install two or more DNN portals on a web server, so that they use one MSSQL 2005 database?
Problem is that I have limit of one database in my hosting account, but the database is almost emtpy and I would like to use the same database for a different DNN portal in a different domain in my web hosting account.
Many thanks!
With best regards

Nedim

Yes you can use child portals to setup sites. A portal can be either a domain.com/child or a child.domain.com or a full url-  normally I suggest people setup a parent portal in the host/portals area, which is defined by a subdomain - eg.. child.domain and then they log in to that new domain and then add the new website address in what is known as the portal alias table.

You simply point the site under IIS to the same directory and if all is setup in DNS it should display the new site.
