Although I found many tutorials on it, I cannot get the integration of AD authentication working. I asked our admin for the following information:

  • Domain
  • Username
  • Passwort

Now I got the following:

  • Domain: four capital letters (like ABCD)
  • a username
  • a passwort

I can furthermore access the AD with the "Windows Active Directory Users and Computers" client on my virtual desktop an can see the following:

  • Active Directory Users and Computer [subdomain.subdomain.ourcompany.com]
    • subdomain.ourcompany.com
    • ...
    • ...
    • TH
      • ...
      • ...
      • Users
    • ...

Where TH is our subsidiary.

What should I setup in DNN?

Finally got it working. Downloaded the latest version of the AD provider and installed it to DNN then it worked with the account information my admin gave me (Domain: ABCD, User: ABCD/username).

Unfortunately now I cannot login as admin or host anymore coz my AD username is not an admin I think
