hiya Nina,

everything is running fine and the teefer.sys is an error to do with sygate firewalls so if anyone has any probs with that then maybe i can help

I have set it up on four of the websites that are running on my server and they seem happy with it.

Just one question whats the minimum server requirements for best performance for dnn?

Mine has two 2.8 zeon cpu's 300gig hd and 512mb memory

The only thing i can see is add some more memory this might help the speed of dnn maybe?

Thanks

simon

Feed the man ram!!

I run 2gb since that's all I can fit - but my next server which we're doing specs on will run about 6 with capacity of 12 gb of ram.

Even smaller processor boxes can do well with beefing up the ram.

DNN is hungry. XML functions as well will eat your ram.

I did a blog on the amount of ram used when logged into DNN.. it's a few.

Hi cjsmitty,

sorry i missed your message did not see my thread had started another page [EMO]confuse.gif[/EMO]

My version of sygate is v 5.5 build 2710

There is a newer version now but not in my budget at the moment. Symantec actually took over sygate but they still produce a fire wall in the sygate range. I was looking at the symantec firewall as a new one but will have to wiat a little while!
