Also did you upgrade from 4.9.2 directly to 5.0.1, or did you upgrade to 5.0.0 first?

Or you said you restored... did the database touch DNN 5 at all in any way? Did you fully restore the files/database?

Alex,
Yes, I can reproduce it, but I'm running 04.09.02 (above I mistakenly noted 9.4.2). I don't know the full history of the site, but there was work done by someone to resolve some data issues a while back and the site has been upgraded and ported between ISP's. The URL you referenced discussed a behavior where the user was able to login but was seeing different portal info, while I cannot even login to the ported site due to a redirect to the firt portal that doesn't match the HTTPAlias.

If it were a data integrity issue, would you have any suggestions of what tables I might look at in the database to track this down? Note that the source site I'm attempting to move from is a live site so I do not want to make any data changes there. I do have the Evotiva backup module so can likely reproduce the install consistently to the destination server that is my test bed for now.

I know that this reply comes late but I had this same problem and was able to fix it by going inside the PortalAlias Table within the Database and deleting all rows that I had there. I then inserted a new row and typed in the required portal ID and HTTPAlias.

Background. The first round I just deleted the rows in the PortalAlias table but the redirect to the wrong site kept occurring. Only after I inserted the new row with correct HTTPAlias did the redirect stop and I was able to get to the correct site.
