I'm hoping someone has done this and can save me some time.  I want to have level 2 navigation show up on the left side.

So PRODUCTS will be a top nav item, when click it, I want categories to show on the left.  I then want to expand, with a post back, each subcategory as someone drills down.  It seems easy but I can't see how to easily to do this.  Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Example:  When someone drills into Product1.2.1, everything for that parent category is full expanded.  If they were to click on Category2, Category1 is collapsed and Category2 now expands.  I would also want the selected product to have a different style applied.  This should be done with postboacks.

Category1

  • Sub1
  • Sub2
    • Product1.2.1
    • Product1.2.2
    • Product1.2.3
  • Sub3

Category2
Category3
