Hello, and thanks for the help.

I love this program but an having an issue on where to input key words, etc.. to improve page rankings in yahoo and google.

Any ideas?  I have a few pages that are very rare and should have been crawled already.  So when I google that particular page, it should be at least near the top, but is no where to be found.

Any help or suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks

Dirk

Hi, Dirk-
Looking at your site's homepage source it seems that you're already aware of the Keyword and Description fields for a page.  You'll do a bit better on indexing if you add customized descriptions for each page rather than rely only on the general website description field (from the WEBSITE SETTINGS page).

As far as insuring your pages are getting indexed in the first place, you'll want to make sure you've submitted your DNN sitemap (the XML-based sitemap included with DNN) to the various major search engines.  I have a couple of posts regarding the DNN sitemap, page priorities and where to submit your sitemap for indexing:

  Where to submit the sitemap:

Thanks for the info,

I do have one more question.

What do you mean by, adding the sitemap to the index page?

Thanks

Dirk

Sorry, I was not clear, there.  By "add the sitemap to the index page" I meant "submit your sitemap URL to the search engine using the engine's sitemap submittal webpage".

The linked post has a short list of specific URLs to go to for submitting your site's sitemap URL to various search engines.  DNN already has a sitemap submittal feature in the site settings area but it only submits to Google (plus it does not allow you to submit a different sitemap file if you are using a custom solution to generate your XML sitemap).
