I am new at web stuff 101! As superuser I messed with the wrong setting I guess! Now when I add a new module the bottom modules vanish, if I delete that new module the old ones come back! What did I do? Help!!

this is not a typical behaviour, and I have no clue what has happened.

Which DNN version are you using?

We've been experiencing the same sort of problem on our site - modules not updating - disappearing - reappearing with old content and more. We're using DNN 4.09.00 on the  .net Framework 2.0.50727.1433 -  Logged in as admins.   This is an extremely frustrating experience when trying to add modules and content to pages!

We don't at present have even a clue as to what general area to begin to look at to try to resolve this problem.  We've tried adjusting the page cache and memory settings with every concievable combination thinking it was a cache problem, but to no avail.  The very first module addition seems to go OK, but not always, and subsequent module additions and/or content changes seem to get "stuck" some how.  The browser we use, FF or IE, doen't seem to make any difference either.  Page refreshing sometimes works, but often results in the bizzare behaviors mentioned.

Any insight into this problem would be very much appreciated,

Thanks,

StMark

this sounds like a caching issue, what are the performance settings in Host Settings?

Hi Sebastian,

Our performance settings are as follows:

 Clear Cache

Although, we have tried other settings and the results are about the same.  We're shooting for fast performance for regular logged in users and the performance for admins is of secondary concern.
