Hello,

I have a page with 3 HtmlText Modules. I have created a new role called Editor and want this role to only be allowed to edit 2 of the 3 HtmlTextModules.

To do so I went to page settings and made sure the role editor has edit access. After that I made sure the 2 modules have edit access for role Editor and I made sure the role Editor has access denied for the 3rd module.

But for some reason the Editor role is allowed to edit everything on the page.

What did I do wrong?

Thanks.

Didier

there might be an issue with this feature (not sure if all usecase have been thorougly tested).

you can try a workaround: give the editor role only view rights to the page, and edit rights to the specific modules

this is by design: edit permission for a page always includes edit permission for all modules placed on it.

Hello,

Thanks for your help but I tried both options.

From what you say if I set a role to edit mode at page level, it is going to give me full access to all modules on the page no matter if I don't want a role to have access to one module on the page.

Now if I don't set the role to edit mode at page level but only on certain modules of the page, it doesn't allow me access to anything on the page.

Is it even possible to allow only certain modules to be editable for a specific user role? If yes, how do I do this?
