I agree Jhon. It's not very helpfull to see a message that says "somethings wrong, figger it out yourself"!

Is there not some log file somewhere?

Thank you Mr. Salmon :)

Doing an upgrade from 5.4.2 to 5.4.4.
I had forgotten / missed the second string and until I read your post I was scratching my head.
Ok - on my way to tearing my hair out ... but I saw this and then checked and found I'd not copied the second string over.
Did that, ran the upgrade and it worked fine.

I would go along with the suggestions that the information available in the page could be better.
More help to those of us who don't tinker or maintain the internals of dnn installations on a daily basis.
I can empathize with those who freak out and jump ship to joomla or something else in the search of 'idiot proof'ness.
But I'm still here for now ...
