Hi.  I'm an experienced coder, but a new DNN user.  I'm running a "stock" (unmodified) installation of DNN version 04.09.01 on a 3rd-party host.

I've created a child portal and added an admin user account for it.  When I log in to the child portal using this account, DNN sometimes "forgets" that I'm logged in.  This always happens when I click the logo to return to the splash page, but sometimes at other times, too.  I haven't yet discerned the pattern.  Note that if I'm logged in as the host account, this doesn't happen.

Has anyone seen this sort of behavior?  I found a reference that said it might be a problem if I had multiple aliases (aliii?), but there's just one defined for this child portal.  (sitename.com/childportalname)

Thanks,
  Andrew

I've solved this.  It was essentially this problem:

http://www.asknextweb.com/Default.aspx?tabid=884&EntryID=53

Updating the alias to include the www. prefix fixed it.  I hope this helps someone else at some point.

Andrew
