I asked a question regarding moving a DNN install, similar to the question I'm about to ask, before. That thread is here:
http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/108/threadid/288853/scope/posts/threadpage/1/Default.aspx

I have recently purchased new hardware my intranet server. I demounted my database, setup SQL and named the new PC exactly the same as the old PC. After remounting the database and fixing the connection string the DNN install still tries to redirect to the very first server I had DNN installed on, as mentioned in my previous post. The portal was set in the database before moving as I am using the same name as the installation was previously on.

Any ideas on how to get it to stop redirecting?

My guess is that you have a portal alias that is causing the site to redirect for you automatically.

Do you have an old alias stored in the site?

Another option might be that you have some links in Text/HTML modules that are full URLs rather than relative.

Odd...I thought I had the forum setup to notify me. Oh well.

Check your DNS entry, sounds like it's still pointing to the old IP address.
