 Im interested to know if this can be done? Has anybody done this would like to see an example

 you can specify a splash page in Site Settings, this can have a dedicated (blank) skin with a flash included or hold a single Text/HTML module, which may play the flash.

I did a site like this... I just added an index.html file in the root directory and increased it's priority above default.aspx (in the IIS settings). Then the enter site button links to the default.aspx page which brings up the DNN site.
