Hello,

How do you change the name of the "host" account to something else, for example "BigCat" ?

Thanks,

Mike

You can change the install template before installation.

After you have to add a new account , superuser or admin.

Officially - I think that's a no go. I believe it's possible to create additional SuperUser accounts (under host menu - SuperUsers (or something)).

Technically - There are two tables in the database, {dnn prefix stuff}Users and an ASP one - aspnet_Users.

I don't recommend changing things in the DB. I, in fact recommend agaist it. :)

There might be other little things that are missed doing it in the DB - I have done it, I have not encountered any problems - This does not mean there cannot be problems, especially if you screw up.

I advise creating an additional superuser account if you want to appear with a different name, or admin account.

Why changing in the db when you dont need to to it?!

I've had to change a user name when they entered the info I created it from was entered wrong. the simplest for me was the DB vs making them re-register.
