Hi,

I'm using DNN 4.9.3. Set site log history too 14 days. Now the log contains about 60000 entries from the last 9 months

When I try to clear the log, I get a time out exception Is it a problem to clear the log manually?

Best regards
Niklas

Yes unless you increase the timeout setting in web.config.... however this is not advisable for a one off like this..

Delete the entries in the event log table using SQL Server management studio or some other utility that will allow you to perform a direct query of the database. Then consider filtering out what gets logged (via your event log settings), then seriously consider installing this:

to clear the site log, go to Host SQL and execute

  TRUNCATE TABLE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SiteLog

please validate job settings in Host :: scheduler.
