Hi

I have just downloaded a .bak of my database and have restored this with no errors.  I changed the  database login details in my web config file to localhost with the same username and password.  I have checked the users in the database and these are the same as my live one so users and permissions where restored correctly.  However when I run default.asp using visual web developers development server (view in browser), it throws the following error:

The if I refresh the browser it then just says  "Login failed for user myuser'".

But even if I change the username in the web config to something totally diferent it still says that "Login failed for user myuser", which was the original user.  Is there another database connection string somewhere that I have missed.

Cheers for any help

Well I seem to have fixed it but now when I fire up my local copy in the broswer it opens the live site.  I assume that this is due to the fact that I didnt add a localhost portal alias on the live site.

errrmmm

Not to sure what to do now apart from go to the live site and add the alais, then download a .bak of the database and do a restore all over again

Or is there an easier way of doing this.  Perhaps I couls add the localhost portal alias strainght in tot he dataabse?

Any ideas
