Hi, Iám building a portal with several child/sub portals below it.
When I make a child portal and define/add an admin, it seems that he has somewhat limited options.
He can't delete modules etc.

I find, when I add the same user to the parent portal suddenly the admin in the child portal has all the options he should have.

Does anybody experience the same thing?
Is there a fix for this? If not, will there be a fix for this in a future version?

We have superusers - hosts - who can do everything, and we have administrators - who can't.. they can only manage the site. You can see more because you are the host, but your child portal administrator cannot because he is only site administrator for that port.

How are you adding them to your parent portal?  YOu should only be able to have one UserID.

This same issue has been plaguing DNN child portals for a long time without a total resolution.  Some have been successful in modifying the core, but it hasn't worked for everyone:

Much to my delight after being unsuccessful with 4.3.6 as a root site, I just noticed that 4.3.7 was posted for download.  I set it up as a virtual directory and the child portal logoff problem went away!  Thank you DNN!

UPDATE: After doing more experimentation, I'm convinced that the key factor in getting rid of this problem was not the software update.  Rather, it appears that DNN does not like to support child portals if your main installation is in the root IIS site (www.example.com) rather than a virtual directory (www.example.com/dnn ) as the DNN documentation instructs.
