Is it possible to open .ascx-files in DNN? I created one file with Visual Studio 9.0 and have tried to open it in DNN, but without any success.

Ascx files (user controls) are the foundation of all DotNetNuke Extensions.  You however, must create an installation package to actually tell dotnetnuke how to use the controls and display them to the user.

You might have a look at Michael Washington's articles at http://dotnetnuke.adefwebserver.com
