Hi,

Does anybody now how to configure (with a purchased module maybe?) the ability for users only to register with a website once a PAYPAL payment has been made. It may also be useful to include more than the usual profile information as part of registration, for instance uploading of a photograph. Once the PAYPAL payment has been processed, the user automatically is granted access to the DNN site (4.9.3 version). Thanks in advance for any help here.

Cheers

MARK.

 Mark-

The best module out there for taking control of your regsitration process is Dynamic Registration.  It supports both PayPal IPN and Authorize.Net so you can have your site auto-register users (or update subscriptions, or add users to other roles) only after payment completion is confirmed.  You have control over any emails you may want to send out including file attachments.  You can add your own questions to the regsitration process (not just data fields but actual questions with different results based on the answers).  You can incorporate AJAX events into your process.  A common exampe (that is actually already built-in to the module) is to see if a username is already taken BEFORE the user attempts to submit the registration form.  A highly-recommended module for custom registrations and registration payments.

You can provide custom profile field entries but I'm not aware of a photo upload feature (a seeming hole in the core DNN user profile options, actually).  This doesn't mean you couldn't leverage the module's AJAX support to create your own upload option (pop up a file upload form) but I believe you'd have to provide your own solution for managing uploaded photos and associating with user accounts.

Hope that helps-
