Add a second IP address to the server, run the DNN site on one IP and the Sharepoint site on the other.  See www.iis.net if you need help with IIS.

SSL cannot run on host headers, and shouldn't use an alternate port if you want clients to have easy access to it.

ok, thanks. I am now resigned to the fact that I will not get DNN to run on a non standard port on my web server when publishing through an isa server listening on port 80.

this must be a symptom of wrong programming. My suggestion, drop DNN and find a decent framework.
