I just successfully installed DNN 4.0.3. It looks nice. I like the drag 'n' drop effect of modules.

1. Is it possible using the same drag 'n' drop feature for implementing/simulating Multiple-Document Interface (MDI) in DNN? I am trying to create a Windows Application, but in a website. I have seen MDI implementations such as:

http://blogus.xilinus.com/pages/javawin
http://script.aculo.us/

but have been scared to see whether they work with .NET & DNN. It would be good to see blogus.xilinus MDI windows encapsulating a DNN module. blogus.xilinus MDI windows also uses AJAX. Am new to AJAX, DNN & blogus.xilinus MDI windows so am not sure whether it's possible to encapsulate DNN modules in blogus.xilinus MDI windows and use AJAX feature of "postless postbacks" and retain the current page, even when you postback one of the DNN modules.

If DNN 4.0.x doesn't use AJAX, will it use it in future?

2. Basically I want a WebApp so that normal logged in users can open up lots of small windows. These small windows are DNN modules that have postback. If this is not possible then what about using IFRAME showing a DNN module? I also want to let normal users change the theme/style too.

Just taking a quick look at it I think it should work with DNN just fine.  It's nothing more than JavaScript so there shouldn't be much of a problem.
