I have a customer that is running their own exchange server locally and I am hosting their site on a 3rd party server. We have set the host email settings to use their newsletter account on the exchagne server.

When we try to send a newsletter with the default DNN newsletter everyone who has an account on the exchange server receives the mail, but I receive an error in the DNN event viewer for every external mail address.

InnerException: Mailbox unavailable. The server response was: 5.7.1 Unable to relay for user. [EXTERNAL EMAIL ADDRESS]

If I use a mail address of my own everything works, it is specific to their exchange server.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for resolving this? Are their settings in DNN that I can change to fix this or is their something on the exchange server we can tweak?

John,

This would be an exchange specific issue.  It has to do with relaying service, and honestly I'm not sure if you will get the best answer via this forum.  You might try an exchange specific forum.
