I have a Win2003 virtual set up just for DNN (5.01.01) . I have an experimental portal set up on it and now would like to add another. Looking at the help it seems a simple matter of going to 'Host' > 'Portals' and clcking "Add Portal" but I do not have an "Add Portal" button to click. I have the Extensions and Portals modules installed. Is there a clear process for getting more sites onto the box? I am stuck.

Cheers,

MD

Some questions for you.

1) So when you access the Host -> Portals screen you do not see the following links at the bottom of the Portals Module: "Add New Portal", "Export Portal Template" and "Delete Expired Portals"?

2) Next the the Icon and the Portal Module Title (left) there should be a small down arrow. You should see a list of Admin a command, including "Add New Portal".  What do you see when you hover over this?

3) Can you get a screen shot of you Host -> Portals page and post it on you web site (and post the link to it here)?

4) In the lower right hand corner do you see an icon that looks like a piece of paper and pencil (this is for the module settings).  If so, What are the permission for the module set to?

Just thought of something and this might be an easy thing to fix.  On you admin control panel at the very top what is the "Mode" set to?  It needs to be set to "Edit" otherwise you will not see any of the links, or icons that I asked about in my previous post.  Change it to "Edit" and you links an everything else you need to administer your portal will be displayed.  You might want to make sure in the site Settings -> Usability Setting that the "Control Panel Mode" is set to Edit instead of View by default.

Edit Mode - That'll do it. :-)  Thanks very much. I hope this post serves others too.

Cheers
