Hello,

In DNN5 > Admin > Language > Resources > Mode
has three types:
1.System

2.Host

3.Portal

Can you ask me to modify "resources value" does have to distinguish different??

1. "System" is used to modify core resource files and to edit language pack files

2. "Host" is used to override text for all portals of the installation. This modification will be pertained on core/language pack updates.

3. "Portal" may be used to override text for the current portal only. This modification will be pertained on core/language pack updates.

Question1:
Choose "Host" or "Portal" is ths same function??
In the general situation, which chooses that one kind??

Qustion2:
My DNN5 is default use the "Host" setting,
how can change to use the "System" or "Portal" setting??

Question3:
If in 08/2009, i renewed the "Host" Setting,
in 09/2009, i renews other language pack again,
can 08/2009 "Host" settting will be overwrite??

Question 1: Host applies to all portals in your installation, Portal only to the current portal

Question 2: there is no option, you might be able to modify default in .ascx file (I haven't checked yet), but this will not be persisted during upgrades

Question 3: Sorry, I don't understand the question. What do you mean by "renew setting"?
