 Hi there,

We're integrating DNN with SalesForce, and to do this, we need to add a column into a Users table to store the user's SalesForce ID. Can someone please tell me - if we add a SF ID column to a users table, which table should it be added to? ASPNet_Users?  Users? There seem to be duplicate tables, and it's hard to know what's what!

Thanks for your suggestions,

--Dave

Suggest you add a new profile property.

Admin > User Accounts > Manage Profile Properties

where are these properties stored in the DB?  We have to run a DB => DB synchronization, so the easier it is to access and update through a system service, the better...

For instance, I se that the property field I have created (SF_ID) exists in dbo.ProfilePropertyDefinition as a row; but where do the columns exist in relation to a user's e-mail (our sync field) such that we can easily update them?

The operation:

* Service runs every X hours as a task.
* Service compares e-mail fields in SalesForce to DNN
* In cases with a match, service transfers over SalesForce ID into DNN

Thanks!

Ok, it seems like the logic has to be something like this:

* Match on e-mail address from dbo.Users;
* Get UserID from dbo.Users and match against dbo.UserProfile
* If dbo.UserProfile contains a row for the PropertyID (from dbo.PropertyDefinition) for UserID, then no update is needed. If not, add a new row for the SalesForce property ID
