Hey! We recently upgraded our site from DNN 5.0 to 5.1.1. Everything went fine except that all users who are logged in are able to see the pen edit icon in the html module even if both the module and page security is set to edit only for administrators. They are able to press the edit button and edit the text in inline mode, but thankfully it doesnt get saved. Anyone able to help?

That sounds pretty odd, but one quick solution may be to turn off inline editing using the Usability Settings in the Site Settings. This may eliminate inline all together.

Thanks for that, worked like a charm, but it still a weird problem.

I dont think it happens to newly added HTML modules only the ones that were on the site at the time we upgraded.

it's a known problem and will be fixed in 5.1.2. It's only an appeance problem , as the security is correctly evaluated before saving, so you can't update content without the necessary permissions. Heres it's issue for tracking http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=10511&PROJID=2
