I like DNN and wish to use it for a website.

Unfortunately there is an app in JOOMLA that is essential for the site and there is no comparable module in DNN.

Does anyone have any experience or examples of combining a DNN & JOOMLA website

I know there is a I-Frame module, but to be honest it doesn't looks so great.

Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks.

based on totally different platform of both CMS, iFrame would be the only solution I can think of (besides of re-implementing the module in ASP.net).

What is the module? (link to the site/source works well too)

I'm finishing up porting a site from Xoops to DNN.  I had some custom php scripts that I used that I didn't want to recreate.  Tried using the IFrame module and had problems with it (can't recall specifics without digging out my notes).  Instead, I used an HTML module and put an IFrame in the source html. For example,

<p><iframe height="600" frameborder="0" width="800" marginwidth="10" src="/FFG_Files/phpscripts/buyoptions.php"></iframe></p>

This works fine.  In my php script I reference a css file that has the same style colors, fonts, etc. as my skin.

Hope that helps,

Joan

Joan's solution would require a host that supports PHP as well as .NET. Not all fully support php - making it unusable. GoDaddy, for example - I couldn't run phpBB on their windows box. :(

(FYI - If this makes you go host shopping, or you are - PowerDNN supports php; phpBB3 runs great there - ok, I had one minor permission hiccup when I upgraded the forums, but I'm pretty sure that was my fault)
