I made a change to the the hosts settings module (on a local copy) where I changed the Control Panel setting from ICONBAR to CLASSIC......

The results are below, and I can't access the site at all anymore.

Can anyone help?

Regards

Dave

Ok, I fixed this myself.

I merely copied the two  ICONBAR. flies and renamed it to classic in the directory mentioned........problem solved.

what version are you running (the classic control panel was removed recently AFAIR?). To resolve this you can either move the files into their expected locations i.e. download an older version such as 4.9 and copy the /admin/controlpanel/classic files over or else resolve this by setting it back to the default value via the database - this query should fix it (backup your database first obviously)

update

HostSettings set SettingValue='Admin/ControlPanel/IconBar.ascx' where SettingName= 'ControlPanel'

Hi Cathal,

I'm running 5.01.01

My fix worked fine. and I was able to set it bac to ICONBAR.

I can't understand why CLASSIC would be available in the dropdown list if it was removed from version 5 and not delivered with the source files. Maybe someone should fix this.

Regards

Dave

The control panel code is pretty simple in that all it does is check for ascx files in the admin/controlpanel folder, i'm not sure why it would be showing as an option if the files weren't there. The files aren't there in recent distributions so it shouldn't show up at all - i've tested this in a new 5.1.1 install and only have the iconbar option as expected. Was this an install or an upgraded version and if so what version did you upgrade from?
