Hi Can anybody suggest a way (using standard functionality - without creating a module) to execute an SQL statement or stored procedure when a <A> link is clicked by the user?

Many thanks,

Steve

Sure Steve, the Reports module will let you specify any legitimate SQL statement, pass parameters, etc. and can be set to execute only when the link is clicked.  Host access is required to configure SQL, but like any module, you can give appropriate groups/users access to run it.

Hi Scott, can the reports module be configured to somehow trigger the execution of an INSERT statement when an <A> link in the reported text is clicked ?  I have used a SELECT statement as the basis of a Report Module to generate the text - but could you please explain how a <A> link can trigger an INSERT statement using this module...
