Hello all. I am working on getting a DNN community version site up that will allow people to register and create a small team that they will collaborate with. The kicker is that privacy is important. I have looked at "Active Social" as an application but it seems a little too public. When people join the site, they need to have chat, forums, picture and video post, video chat wouild be great, and document sharing. The key thing is that no-one should be aware even that other people have accounts on the system.

Any ideas or thoughts on the best way to approach this ? I'm open to buying third party modules but would prefer not to have too much custom coding done. Thanks in advance.  --Steve

Have you considered child portals for teams?   Upon portal signup, in establishing a new team, create the portal from a template that has the various pages and modules in it.   There are portal sign up modules out there also.    Then the team can then control the memberships and security separately.   If you need ways to list the various team portals and contact personnel on a parent portal, you can create cross portals data listings with something like Indoogrid.
