hello

I have an IIS7 with a live ip, 123.123.123.123 and on this server i have a ddn 5.1.2 site running, which you can access on http://123.123.123.123/abc

Is there a way that I can configure the server so the users can access my dnn site it by just typing the ip 123.123.123.123, without adding the folder( /abc) ?

thank you

yes, you need to install DNN in the root of the web site assigned to the IP, not inside a virtual directory.

you need to adjust the portal alias (add new one first in Host :: Portals) accordingly.

ty Sebastian.

If I do that, it seems to be working but

I have some other sites on that server too, (eg 123.123.123.123/efg) and these sites are no longer accesible.

any suggestions?

create a new site in IIS and point the new site to the same location as the prior virtual directory was pointing to, then add default.aspx as the default document and your done. Make sure you have unique bindings or it will flag an error.
