Hello everyone,

I am writing from Buens Aires, Argentina. I have a problem with DNN and SEO and I can't find a solution.

For every page in my site DNN generates two URLs, a long one and a short one.

1) www.mysite.com/PageName/SubPageName/tabid/10/Default.aspx

2) www.mysite.com/Default.aspx?tabid=10

This has created a problem with Google as they have sometimes picked one page or the other.  We end up with inbound links going to both URLs.

My questions are:

A) Is there any way to stop DNN from creating duplicate URLs for any future pages that I create?

B) For situations where duplicate URLs have been already created, is there a way to avoid the problem of duplicate URLs without loosing your page rank.

Thank you in advance for your help.

MK

I strongly recommend the usage of UrlMaster by Ifinity.com.au.  Their product will do a 301 redirect that will then stop the duplicate content.
