As you can hopefully see below, the top log entry is correctly displayed, but the bottom one isn't - it's the UserRoleCreated entry. There's also some info missing I think, like the username and/or rolename conveniently appearing in the green bar.

I've been looking around on where to correct the issue, but haven't been able to find where it's being dealt with on such a specific level (UserRoleCreated). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I had some time to look further on this. DNN is v5.1.2.

In /Services/Log/EventLog/EvebtLogController.vb, the case "else" of objCBO.GetType.FullName calls XmlUtils.Serialize(objCBO), but Serialize is indicated as obsoleted in DNN 5 in favor of CBO.SerializeObject.

So, line 102 needs a revision from the following I think:

Case Else 'Serialise using XmlSerializer
objLogInfo.LogProperties.Add(New LogDetailInfo("logdetail", XmlUtils.Serialize(objCBO)))

But that's as far as I can get right now. Any code revisions to make it log correctly would be appreciated.

I would report in Gemini, but not sure what category to put this in.
