Hi All,

My application has  DNN 5.1.1 version installed. I have created one page which can be view by users who have Adminstarator role, siteadmin role and Registered Users. But when Registered user or siteadmin user logged in at that time it is not visible to that user and also not available in menu. When I paste url of that tab in address bar it shows me " You do not have access to view this tab within the portal.".

Please tell me why this is happenning? Is this particular bug of DNN 5.1.1 or any thing I need to change.

Please reply me as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Kaivan Shah

Do you have "DENY" permissions configured on the page for the ALL USERS role?

Deny supersedes everything in DNN (except the HOST)

Ran across this post trying to solve the same problem....thank you, thank you, thank you.  I hadn't ever used the "Deny" feature but someone else had clicked this for "All Users".  Ooops.

Thinking about this a bit the Deny feature is very useful but probably should be avoided in the "All Users" category :)  And probably used pretty sparingly, specifically when you want to exclude content at a lower level, I'm guessing.  (Glad it didn't override Admin)

In case anyone else is not familiar, there's three states to the permissions.  (blank), Green/Check, Red/X.  The Red/X is Deny.  I'd suggest just leaving it blank unless you understand what it's doing!
