Hi,

I have completed developing my website using DNN 04.09 and SQL Server 2008 and would like to first test it before deploying. This I have been trying on our server and am failing to get the site running, I would like to know what is needed to deploy my site or better yet to test from a server. At the moment I am getting a Site Unavailble message. Is it something I'm doing wrong? Please Help?

  1. Ensure your web.config is accurate for the server and database you're deploying to.
  2. Ensure you have an entry in the PortalAlias table that matches the hostnames your staging or deployment site will be responding on.
  3. Check file permissions
  4. restart IIS

Thanx for the help. I have managed to setup my site onto a test server for now, still to upload it to a web host
