We host our own DNN application at work on a web farm.

The code is held on a file server called Bob.

The web farm has two web servers - Dick & Harry.

I am seeing a number of application restarts during the day with the following message:

Shutdown Details: The AppDomain shut down because of a change to the App_GlobalResources folder or files contained in it.
Server Name: DICK

I have checked the App_GlobalReources folder on the File Server (Bob) and nothing has changed?

Also, if the App_GlobalReources folder has changed, why am I only seeing the application shutdown on one of my web servers (DICK)?

two things.

1.) I love the server names.

2.) Do you have other applications in the application pool?  If so, it could be a change to that application.

No, we don;t have any other applications sharing the pool.

PS. The server names are fake, I couldn't begin to spell the correct names!

maybe the servers are cocurrently trying to check the resources folder for changes and the 2nd one cannot open it the same time. Sure a server issue (sorry, I am not a web farm expert).
