Hi,

I've included the Google Custom search widget on a page in my site.  Can anyone please advise as to how I remove the DNN Nav Search widget from my menu bar?

Also, as a bonus :-) , is there a way to include the Google Custom Search widget on the DNN menu?

Many thanks,

Steve

b default, search is included as skin object and you can simply remove < dnn:search ... > tag from ascx file of the skin.

If you included in your menu a page with a search form on it, delete or hide the page.

Hi Sebastian,

Many thanks for your help.  I did remove just the DNN:Search tage - but this edit resulted in a corrupted menu.  I copy below the code structure that I have in my .ascx file and I have highlighted in blue the code that I removed.  Could you please indicate the code that should be removed?

Many thanks,

Steve

             <%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="SEARCH" Src="~/Admin/Skins/Search.ascx" %>

             <div class="menu_left">
                <div class="menu_right">
                    <div class="menu_bg">
                        <div class="search_style">
                            <div class="search_bg">
                                 <dnn:SEARCH runat="server" id="dnnSEARCH"  CssClass="ServerSkinWidget" UseDropDownList="true" Submit="<img src=&quot;images/search.gif&quot; border=&quot;0&quot; alt=&quot;Search&quot; /&gt;" />
                             </div>
                        </div>
                        <div class="menu_style">
                            <dnn:NAV runat="server" id="dnnNAV"  ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider" IndicateChildren="false" ControlOrientation="Horizontal" CSSControl="mainMenu" />
                        </div>
                        <div class="clear_float">
                        </div>
                    </div>
                </div>
            </div>

it depends on the settings of you css file, but you should be able to remove all the div with "seach_style" class
