I have one instance of DNN with 3 parent portals (in addition to the main site).  When I created each portal, I used the user name "admin" for all of them but specified a different email address for each. I just realized that this did not create a separate "admin" user for each portal as I thought it would. Instead, the same admin user is being used for all portals. Is that normal behavior and how do I now go back and fix it so each portal's admin user is independent of the other? Thanks, Joan

You can just create Admin1 in site 1, Admin2 in site 2 and Admin3 in site 3 as regular users and assign them administrator role, wouldn't that be simple?

Easy enougn, but then how do you make that new admin user the default admin account for that portal. For example, new user registrations get an email from the default admin account - how do I make sure it comes from the new admin account I create?  Joan

Just go into Admin>Site Settings>Advanced Settings>Other Settings and select the administrator account from the dropdown.

you have to create admin accounts with different username (not same for all portals) and you can set email address in admin -->site settings
