Hi all,

I have an access DB which has many forms, querys and reports that I want to duplicate into dotnetnuke.

Which modules will i need to make this happen and what do i need to do on the back end to transfer the data from access db to SQL?

Has anyone done this yet and are there any simple tutorials you reccomend I read?

Thanks

Access databases can upsize into SQL Server simply by attaching them.  Depending on what you want to do, forms and Lists may work or you might want a third party module like XMod.

Hi Jeff thanks for your response.

I have been looking at some 3rd party modules already and found the following for advanced form building:

http://www.datasprings.com/Products/DNNModules/Dynamicforms.aspx

http://www.dnnforms.com/Default.aspx

What I am looking for is developers who have implimented these to duplicate Access 2003 forms, querys and reports and how well they did this.

I was also wondering if anyone did this type of stuff with the existing modules in DNN?

Thanks

you may upsize tables and queries, but forms and Reports need to be rebuilt and I am not aware of an existing tool for migration.

There are however generic modules, which allow you forms interactively like in MS Access.

I cannot find the forms and list module in my fresh install of DNN.

Does it come already installed on DNN Version 5 .1. 4 or do I need to install it from somwhere?

Thanks
