Hi

I have developed a website using 2008 and now i want to convert it to a web application, i was able to convert and build it successfully, but when i run my web application i am getting and error in Global.asax page saying "Could not load type 'DotNetNuke.Common.Global'",  IF i delete this page and run it gives another error saying " Cannot register or retrieve components until ComponentFactory.Container is set ". May i know how to overcome this issue. Its urgent for me. i am using DNN version 5.0.1

Thank you

you may convert your modules to WAP, but you cannot turn DotNetNuke web site into WAP without modifications (not recommended)

What if my module developed in WAP is trying to access DNN core stuff like RoleControler, etc?  It's still throwing this exception "Cannot register or retrieve components until ComponentFactory.Container is set".  What can I do?

you may access the dnn library, which is compiled into dotnetnuke.dll, but not frontend classes from the web site project
