there might be other files missing.

another idea would be a local install of DNN with same modules, and copy up to the server all files except /Portals, /app_data and web.config.

Ky... Re: HELP - network BIOS command limit has been reached

Is this all the same problem?  Intermittent networking problem running the site over UNC share?

I'm just following up because a)this makes sense and b) I'm very new to DNN but intend to do a project with it and will need to support it.

On a fix, I'd convince the hosting provider that this is a known issue (KB article) and they need to remedy it.  Otherwise, there's no choice but to go to a hosting service that uses local drives for file content.

check out Eventlog table, there should be associated entries with details.
