Hi guys,

Sadly, Im a freelancer working for a number of different studio's, and cant always dictate where my DNN sites get hosted. As such, theres a few on some nondescript hosts out there, and while we've always got the sites up and going fine, Ive noticed over the past month that alot of my previous sites are getting alot of failure errors, and the past few Ive investigated, its when they've been moved to an IIS7 installation.

Is anyone else having the same dramas? Or is it just me?

What have you done to curb the dramas? I wish I had my own environment to look after the sites on, but I dont and have to deal with hosts.

FYI - All of my sites hosted with PowerDNN have been running flawlessly.

  • are the app pools running in classic or integrated mode? (integrated preferred)
  • has compression of dynamic content been turned off? (should be)
  • are there issues in the server event log?

I assume, there are some IIS web site settings, which are not optimal, but it is difficult to guess, which one, sorry.
