We're using DNN 5.1.4. We've tried in a few different browers (FireFox 3.5.5 and IE 7.0.5730.13), and the File Manager does not open the file structure sub-folders when clicking on the folder icons. Nothing happens at all.

The error console is showing:

Error: dnn.controls.controls[m_sDNNTreeID] is undefined
Source File: http://www.cerfdev.org/Admin/FileManager/tabid/52/portalid/0/Default.aspx
Line: 691

The context around that error is:

function getSelectedTreeNode()
{
    if (dnn.controls != null)
        return dnn.controls.controls[m_sDNNTreeID].selTreeNode;
    else
    {
        eval('var oNode = ' + dnn.getVar(m_sDNNTreeID + '_selNode'));
        return oNode;
    }
}

please check using default skin, there might be some Java Script code interfering.

We're using the default Minimal Entropy skin as the host skin where we're having the issue. Werid.

I guess we can dive in and see if there is some other JavaScript at play.

Having same issue for some time now. Only for the main portal in the file manager in Admin. In host the filemanager works correctly. All subportals work correctly.
It used to work, did not change skin.
Any none resolved this issue yet.

check your site for a folder called "portal" or containg special characters like '.

Rename folder and perform a recursive sync in Admin :: file Manager.
