Good Morning,

I'm running an installation of dotnetnuke on a hosting company. I've got it setup and am using the "Create new portal" option. I go through the steps to create a new portal but when the new website comes up it says "Directory browsing not allowed". I went and looked in the /Portal/[Portal ID] directory and there is no default.aspx page. The only thing I see are gif/jpg's and a css file. Is this what is supposed to show up? or should there be a default.aspx file?

Thank you,

Scott Vercuski

That's correct, however, make sure, file system permissions are properly granted to anonymous users.

Besides, if you create a childportal, there needs to be a new root folder with child portal name and default.aspx inside.

Pardon my ignorance, but how do I add pages to a portal other than the default? Other portals seem inaccessible.

you need to login to the other portal first.
