I have searched for a word on my site.
I know the word exists in several places (as normal text in a text module, in a link, and as a header).

This word does not appear within the search results - yet apart from this - to my knowledge the search is working ok for other words.

Is there a way I can check a dnn page/module to see if it is listing its content in the search area?

Try the following in the SQL module

Select * from dbo.SearchItem where SearchItemID in (
  select SearchItemID from  dbo.SearchItemWord where SearchWordsID in (
    select SearchWordsID from dbo.SearchWord where Word = 'xxxx'

    )
)

where xxxx is the word you are looking for....

You will need to apply the appropriate object qualifier and database owner if not default.

This will return the module and description of the page associated with the word.

Paul.

[EDIT: corrected a typo in SQL]

thanks,

so if I was searching for the word mypension and my database was called GORDON,
the sql script would look like this..?

 Select * from GORDON.SearchItem where SearchItemID in (
  select SearchItemID from  GORDON.SearchItemWord where SearchWordsID in (
    select SearchWordsID from GORDON.SearchWord where Word = 'mypension'
    )
)

Execute

- I did the above and got this:

The Query completed successfully!

I'm not sure what is supposed to happen next?

no, you need database owner, not database name. please use the following syntax:

Select * from {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItem where SearchItemID in (
  select SearchItemID from  {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWord where SearchWordsID in (
    select SearchWordsID from {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchWord where Word Like 'xxxx'

    )
)

Just run the Below Script and Unchecked the Run as Script checkbox it will display the result.

Select * from SearchItem where SearchItemID in (
  select SearchItemID from  SearchItemWord where SearchWordsID in (
    select SearchWordsID from SearchWord where Word = 'mypension'
    )
)
