I want people have a simple URL like http://www.Fish4Him.net/newsletter go to a specific page in DNN. So I added a folder and dropped in a simple default.aspx page with redirect code in it. Should work I thought, but all I get is a redirect to the root. What am I doing wrong? What is the best way to do this?

Can't anyone help me here? All I want to do is add non-DNN pages into my DNN site.

Please help.

the easiest way would be using an iframe. you can also place static content w/o forms into a text/HTML module.

Thanks for your reply, but that isn't what I am trying to do.

I want to be able to tell people that the link for my newsletter is http://www.Fish4Him.net/newsletter. Then when they type that in they are redirected to the actual newsletter page (http://www.fish4him.net/Newsletter/tabid/60/Default.aspx).

Like I said before I thought I could just make a newsletter folder and then drop in a page with a redirect in it, but that won't work becuase DNN intercepts the request before the page is processed.

Should I be using the URLRewriter? How?

I've done similar stuff using virtual directories to have non-dnn pages available. If your just running one dnn site, you may be able to add a new directory as you did BUT my experience with the virtual directory thing showed me that the directory must have a different name than an existing dnn page. The dnn url naming convention makes a "directory" named Newsletter. If you make your own Newsletter folder, it seems to conflict (looking for tabid, maybe) and sends the user to the home page.

Try making a folder called "News" or "Newsletters" (assuming you don't have pages with those names.
