I have installed the latest version of DDN, added content to the site...

Here is my setup: SQL server 2005 (not Express version), Microsoft Server 2003, latest DDN version.

Everything works fine except the fact that a few times in a day I get this "error" - This site is unavailable and my site recovers.

After 5 -10 minutes everything is working finelike nothing happend.

I don't have to say how frustrating that fact is. Everything works but not exactly.

I have also read about 20 threads on this forum about similar problems but no solution was presented.

Most people get this error after instalation but not me.

Any help would be appreciated.

You should login to your site as a super user (ie. host) and check the event viewer for errors that occur around application restart. Application restart is purple, so it should be easier to spot. You can then post the errors here for more help.

I finally got a real error. First "The site is unavailable" appeard and after that I got this error:

A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)

Problem is that eveything is working just right and a few time in a day I get this error.

there seems to be a problem with connection to the SQL server, maybe there is a scheduled task disabling connection or sth like this.
