Hi, I can't help but feel like there will be a simple answer for this but for the life of me I can't make it work.

I can't get my jQuery to work in DNN ascx files.  It works fine elsewhere, but not in the ascx files.  Now I've tried to look up how to do this but I either find a lot of websites where people assume it's already working for me, or they suggest making changes to the code behind (which I can't do for a lot of modules I want to edit).

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?  I am new to jQuery if anyone was wondering:) Thanks

Mike

Can you be more specific about what is not working, or better yet post a code sample? It will be helpful in providing you with a solution.

It really depends on the code sample.

Firefox with firebug is an excellent javascript debugger - I recommend getting that to help along.

A code sample would be great, as well as the DNN version.

The first thing that comes to mind and comes up frequently is using ID's. The ID of an ASP control isn't the ID rendered, for that you will need to use <%= CONTROLNAME.ClientID %> in stead of just CONTROLNAME. Ex - $('#' + <%= CONTROLNAME.ClientID %>') to get the jQuery object of the specified control.

Following that issue... I'd suggest checking... I got nothing else standard to check. Code samples and firefix/bug is your best bet. :)

It was the clientID, thanks.
