Hi,

I have installed DNN 5.2.2 into it's own directory viz /dnn522 . I have used IIS7 Redirect to redirect user requests to root to go to root/dnn522 . This results in 'http://root/dnn522/home.aspx' appearing in the browser address window.

How can I remove the /dnn522/ from the address shown in the user's browsers window?

Thank you.

install DNN in the root of the web site.

Almost everybody recommends against this as it may restrict/interfere with the use of other asp.net applications. That's why I chose a separate directory.

Any other suggestions?

Which other application do you plan installing on the root of your web site?

All our client DotNetNukes are installed in web site root (not inetpub/wwwroot though!)

There are no other methods to do this.  If your app is in a subfolder from the root of the site, that subfolder has to be in the URL for the URL to point to the correct location.  Doesn't matter if the folder is real or virtual, if you don't want it there then you have to install DNN at the root.  This is true whether the app is DNN or not.

By the way, I don't know anybody that recommends against this.

Jeff
