Does anyone know if DNN plans to support hierarchical roles and if not are there any work arounds to accomplish this?

Thanks,

Chris

I have been wondering the exact same thing. So far, the only thing I thought of that comes close, is by defining your whole group structure as flat DNN roles, like:

Company

Company\Loc1

Company\Loc1\Department1

Company\Loc1\Department2

Company\Loc2

Company\Loc2\Department1

Company\Loc2\Department2

And then maybe do some small modifications to some of the DNN modules to allow for a nicer presentation. Does anyone have experience with that?

Chris,

currently, there are role groups for filtering roles on display but no options for arranging roles hierarchically. There are ideas for the future, e.g. in context with portal groups, but I am not aware of concrete development activities on this subject.
