Hi,

I can log in successfully as the portal admin and have full access to the database, but I can't log in as host - even though I'm sure I got it right. I tried until it locked out. Then, after 10 mins I asked for a forgotten password reminder - the reminder that was sent showed the account as host and the password as ******* (I'm not blanking it out - the email contained 7 asterisks).

Is there some feature which will send a blanked out reminder for host - or has this account possibly been hacked? - Unlikely because everything else on the site looks and works fine. Or is this because I've requested a reminder too soon after the account was locked? Or is there a way or resetting this password?

I need to install a couple of new modules, in spite of the host password problem - can I just set the SuperUser bit field on my portal admin record and get to the host menu that way?

For security reasons the actual host account password is never sent by e-mail in response to a forgotten password request. Since you have access to the database your can follow this procedure:

Thank you very much for your help - I thought I was the only idiot who'd forgotten the host password... seems not!
